Designed for customers with higher production demands, the Duplo DSF-6000 Sheet Feeder offers a high stacking capacity of 24” for maximum productivity and an increased flexibility with paper sizes. Configurable with the DBM-600 Bookletmaker or iSaddle, the DSF-6000 Sheet Feeder offers the ultimate solution for converting pre-collated digital or offset printed media into high quality booklets at up to 4,500 per hour.
Equipped with a technologically-advanced feeding and Air Management System, the DSF-6000 provides an unsurpassed level of high-speed performance that ensures consistent feeding of a wide variety of paper types and weights, from 64 gsm to 300 gsm, at a maximum speed of up to 600 sheets per minute. The main tray offers a loading capacity of 24” (610 mm), which minimizes reloading for longer run times. Three-side air separation and an integrated static eliminator effectively minimize the effects of static that is common with digitally printed media. Optical and ultrasonic sensors accurately detect feed errors, should they occur.
The flexibility of the DSF-6000 can be enhanced by adding the multi-function DSF-CFL Cover Feeder option. Utilize the cover feeder to add a cover to the sets fed from the main tray or use it independently to feed both the cover and inner sheets. Equipped with Duplo’s 8-belt dual fan system, the cover feeder can feed a wide variety of paper types and weights up to 300 gsm and supports maximum paper sizes up to 14” x 24”, enabling it to process high value calendar and letter landscape booklet applications.
Using Duplo’s PC Controller software, the system can easily be managed and controlled by a single operator via a PC. This intuitive Graphical User Interface (GUI) facilitates the programming and saving of jobs. Simply by entering or selecting the paper sizes, the PC Controller automatically calculates the stitch, fold, and trim positions. User-friendly interface elements such as the drop down list, check boxes, buttons, and sliders make it extremely easy for an operator to select or change settings and to make fine adjustments if needed. The PC Controller can save an unlimited number of jobs that can be instantly recalled to change from one job to another within 60 seconds without any tools required.
Optional barcode reader kits can be added to ensure the integrity of each booklet. Process documents with variable, personal and sensitive information with confidence by utilizing 1D or 2D barcodes. The barcode reader can identify each set and verify that each sheet in the set is fed in the correct sequence.
A barcode kit is also available for the exit of the bookletmaker to monitor and verify that each booklet has been successfully processed. The barcode data is recorded and can be saved and used for auditing purposes.
