Improve overall efficiency with fully automated settings that are managed entirely from a PC station. Utilizing the PC Controller software on the saddle stitcher, you can set up jobs in under 60 seconds. Simply select or enter a custom paper size and the saddle stitcher will automatically set the score, stitch, fold, and trim setting. Any fine-tune adjustments can be made with ease.
Use the computer’s memory to save an unlimited number of jobs and retrieve them as needed. Changeovers from one size to another are performed within seconds and without any intervention or tooling required. A barcode scanner can be added to either lift unit to verify the integrity of each booklet.
Perform custom feeding for unique job requirements and maximize the power of your collator using the Intelligent Multi-Bin Feed (IMBF) function on the PC Controller. Merge black and white documents with color media, combine uncollated offset with collated digital output, and create one-to-one booklets by inserting variable data material. Take control of the feeding sequence by selecting bins to feed from and the quantity of sheets.
The DSC-10/60i incorporates Duplo’s air suction belt feeder and air management system. Each of its 10 bins comes built-in with fine adjustments and patented dual fan technology that generates a steady flow of air for separation and feeding.
High resolution sensors are located in each bin to detect any misfeeds and double feeds as well as allow the feeding of different paper types and weights.
Streamlining the binding process results in higher productivity. The iSaddle 5.0 integrates the scoring, stitching, folding, and trimming units into a powerful system – eliminating the task of setting and folding signatures separately.
Each collated set is jogged into alignment then scored and plough folded, producing thicker and flatter booklets. The iSaddle 5.0 comes standard with 2 Hohner heads with 3 and 4 Hohner head options available. Motor-driven stops and twin drive belts maintain control of each booklet.
Its increased versatility provides the capability to produce 4-stitched booklets using only 2 stitch heads. Booklets with up to 6 different sheet sizes can also be processed using the multi-sheet size function. Add the 6-page cover kit option to do even more.
Add three-side trimming and 2-up finishing capabilities to your system with the DKTS-200 Two Knife Trimmer. The gutter cutter along with the 4-stitch capability double the productivity of small format jobs up to 9,000 booklets per hour.
